Making a Difference
Here at Hope Community Church, we believe that God’s heart is for all people, but that he has a special affection for those who are vulnerable, hurting and forgotten. This is why, as a church, we run or support a number of organisations that seek to bring hope to those in our community who need it.
Transforming Lives for Good
TLG is a national education charity that helps local churches work alongside struggling children and families.
Here at Hope, we run an ‘Early Intervention’ mentoring program in a local primary school, where struggling pupils are given the opportunity of meeting with members of the church who go into the school each week for mentoring and to give the children someone to just talk to.
For more information, please contact Lesley at firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit https://www.tlg.org.uk/
We understand that many individuals and families are struggling to feed themselves. At Hope, we run our own foodbank in partnership with the Trussell Trust. Open Mondays 6-7pm and Thursdays 1-2pm, we provide people with three days of emergency food provision. Whilst the parcels are being made up, people have a chance to speak to our advocacy services who are experts on housing, benefits, debt and other issues that can help lift people out of the poverty trap.

Jakin Pregancy Care and Counselling
Jakin is a charity for anyone struggling with pregnancy issues, from unwanted pregnancies to abortions and miscarriages. They aim to offer a safe place for those who have undergone these experiences to talk freely and confidentially with one of their trained counsellors.
